The bees have arrived

Two hives went in this week, tucked against the dyke where the heather starts. The bees settled faster than we did.

There won't be honey this year — the colonies need every drop to build up. But next summer, if the weather is kind, the first jars will come from right here.

We'll post photos as the moor comes into flower. It's quite a thing to watch.
